User Portal Guide

The User Portal is where your customers, sales teams, and partners interact with your product knowledge base. It provides AI-powered search, product exploration, presentation generation, and a personal workspace - all branded to your organization.


The dashboard is the first thing you see when you open the portal. It gives you a quick overview of your activity and highlights from the portal:

  • Activity summary: Your total chats and searches at a glance

  • Feature cards: Quick links to the AI Assistant, Product Explorer, and Deck Generator

  • Recent opportunities: Your latest sales opportunities with status

  • Recent chat sessions: Jump back into previous conversations

  • Spotlight feeds: Featured content and announcements from your portal admin

  • Activity feed: A timeline of your recent actions across the portal


The AI Assistant lets you ask questions about products in natural language and get instant, sourced answers.

  • Start a conversation by typing a question, for example, "Which MCU supports BLE 5.0 and has at least 512KB flash?"

  • Choose an assistant type depending on how your portal is configured, you may see options like Sales, Technical, or Industry-focused assistants

  • Get sourced answers where every response includes references to the actual documentation it's based on, and confidence indicators

  • Give feedback by using thumbs up or thumbs down on any response to help improve answer quality

  • View metrics and see confidence scores, number of sources used, and relevance indicators for each response

  • Export to PDF to save any conversation for sharing or records

Conversations are streamed in real time, so you see the answer as it's being generated.


Browse, search, and compare products from the catalog:

  • Search Use the search bar to find products by name, part number, or description. The AI-powered search understands natural language queries, not just exact keyword matches.

  • Filter Narrow results by product family, category, or specific attributes (like voltage range, package type, or temperature rating). Filters are configured by your portal admin based on the product taxonomy.

  • Product cards Each result shows the product name, key specifications, an image (if available), and links to the original datasheet or documentation.

  • Compare products Select multiple products to view them side by side and compare their specifications.

  • Confidence badges When products are returned from an AI-powered search, confidence indicators show how well each product matches your query.


Create branded PowerPoint presentations through a guided AI conversation:

  1. Describe your needs: Tell the AI about your customer, their requirements, and what you want to present. For example: "Create a deck for BMW showcasing our automotive-grade MCUs with CAN bus support."

  2. AI builds slides: The assistant generates a complete slide deck with titles, content, bullet points, and relevant product information

  3. Edit slides: Modify any slide's title, content, or bullet points directly in the preview canva

  4. Add images: Browse the image library, upload your own images, or use product images that are auto-matched to relevant slides

  5. Suggested prompts: Quick-start templates for common deck types (configured by your portal admin)

  6. Live preview: See your slides rendered in real time as they're generated and as you make edit

  7. Export to PowerPoint: Download the finished deck as a .pptx file, fully branded with your portal's colors, logo, and fonts


Your personal hub for managing sales opportunities, saved decks, and conversation history. The workspace has three tabs:

Opportunities

  • Create opportunities Log a new sales opportunity with customer name, description, and stage

  • Track progres Move opportunities through stages (e.g., Prospecting → Qualification → Proposal → Closed)

  • View opportunity details Open any opportunity to see:

    • Overview - Customer info, stage, and key details

    • Activities - Timeline of all related actions (searches, product views, chats, deck generation)

    • Products - Products you've researched or associated with this opportunity

    • Notes - Free-form notes for tracking context and next steps

Decks

  • View all presentations you've created

  • Download any deck as PowerPoint

  • Delete decks you no longer need

  • Search and filter by name or date

Sessions

  • Browse your AI chat conversation history

  • Reopen past conversations to continue where you left off

  • Search through previous sessions


Settings

View your profile and account information:

  • Email and role display

  • Support contact information for getting help

  • Terms & Conditions — view and accept the portal's terms (if required by the admin)

The information shown depends on your authentication method — SSO and Magic Link users see their full profile, while public portal visitors see minimal information.
