Enhance & customize your Assistant
The Enhance & Customize panel allows you to update the configuration, behavior, or training data of an existing AI assistant without creating a new one. This is useful when:
You want to add or replace documents
You want to adjust the assistant’s profile (description, capabilities, tone)
You want to update operational settings
You want to attach or detach workflows (n8n, internal automations)
You want to enable or disable automatic updates
You want to refine the assistant over time as new data becomes available
Updating an assistant does not interrupt its availability and does not affect ongoing user operations. Users can continue interacting with the assistant while updates are applied in the background.
1. Access the assistant settings
Go to your Workspace
In the left sidebar, select the assistant you want to update
Click Enhance & Customize
You will be redirected to the assistant’s configuration page, where you can:
Add new data sources
Modify the assistant profile
Update advanced parameters
Toggle auto-update
Adjust or remove update rules
Trigger a manual update
2. Update without adding new data (Profile-Only Update)
You can update any assistant without uploading a new file or data source.
For example, you may want to:
Adjust the assistant’s description
Change the target audience or tone
Modify system behavior
Update metadata
Change workflow connections (n8n or internal)
Refresh configuration parameters
In this case, simply edit the fields you need and click Update at the bottom of the page.
3. Enhance the assistant with new data

When uploading new documents or datasets, you must choose one of two behaviors:
Option A — Enhance existing model with new data
(Recommended when the new information expands the same domain or spec family.)
The assistant keeps all previously indexed data
New data is added on top
The assistant becomes more complete and knowledgeable
Use this when you want continuity across versions of specifications, processes, internal documentation, etc.
Option B — Replace existing data (do NOT enhance)
If you leave this option unselected:
All previously indexed data for this assistant is deleted
Only the newly uploaded data will be used
This provides a clean, isolated dataset
Use this when you want to reset the assistant, switch domains, or rebuild from scratch.

4. Auto-Update
The Auto Update feature allows the assistant to automatically re-train itself at a specified interval.

This is useful when:
Input files are stored in external sources updated frequently
Specifications receive monthly releases
Documentation portals refresh automatically
You want fully autonomous maintenance with no manual intervention
To enable Auto Update:
Toggle Auto update
Set the update frequency (e.g., every 1 day, 5 days, or 30 days)
The assistant will automatically re-index and rebuild at the chosen interval
You can also click Remove Autoupdate at any time to disable this behavior.
Auto updates do not interrupt the availability of the assistant. Users can continue to interact with it during updates.
5. Save the Changes
Once all modifications are done:
Scroll to the bottom
Click Update
The system will rebuild and apply the new parameters. Your assistant remains active and available during the entire process.
